Trusted guidance your horse deserves
The Thoroughbred Forum brings together expert knowledge from vets, farriers, nutritionists and behaviourists, all backed by HEROS, the charity behind twenty years of rehoming and retraining.
Our mission
Why the Thoroughbred Forum?
Too many owners face difficult decisions alone. The Thoroughbred Forum was created by the HEROS Charity that has rehomed and rehabilitated over 2,000 former racehorses to put specialist knowledge within reach of every owner, at every stage.

Most new owners rely on unverified social media forums for advice. However, transitioning from a highly structured racing stable environment to a private pasture is complex. Without expert diagnostics and feeding programs, simple mistakes can quickly lead to severe behavioral stress, metabolic issues, or physical lameness.
- Trusted professional support for owners and loaners
- Reliable advice for confident day-to-day decisions
- A regulated source of Thoroughbred management information
